Text: 2 John 1:4-11.
“Watch yourselves, so that you may not lose what we have worked for, but may win a full reward,” verse 8. (ESV). The “full reward” here refers to the rewards of loyal service to God and not to the salvation. Salvation is complete through the work of Jesus Christ on the cross. Cherish the truth and persistently pursue it, then you will receive the full reward.
Persist, for you are a winner in Christ.
Reflect on verse 8, what is God teaching you in this verse, and how are you going to apply it to your life?
Father, I pray for my fellow Christians, especially those under persecution that they will not lose heart. Encourage and strengthen them so that they will not lose what they worked for all along. In the name of Jesus Christ I pray, Amen.
