Text: 2 Corinthians 11:11-33.
“On frequent journeys, in danger from rivers, danger from robbers, danger from my own people, danger from Gentiles, danger in the city, danger in the wilderness, danger at sea, danger from false brothers,” verse 26. (ESV). Paul faced many hardships in serving God in his generation. If you think that the rising up of your congregation against you is unique to you alone, you better learn that Paul faced it too “from false brothers”. However, do not use this as an excuse in case your life style has traces of or an appearance of evil. The frequent transfer of priests in a Church setting, sometimes from what seems to be “juicy”
places to “dry” areas can be a challenge and a source of discouragement to the people involved. Be sure that in serving God you will in most times face discomforting situations and your security compromised unless you are a person who compromises or practices liberalism.

Reflect on verse 26, what changes have you or your family faced in the process of serving God? How are you going to apply this verse to your life and family?

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, I thank You for protecting missionaries wherever they are. Strengthen and provide for them.
Amen.
