Text: 1 Corinthians 10:1-33.
“No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.

Therefore, my beloved, flee from idolatry,” verses 13-14(ESV). There is so much pressure in life. Work, debt, and relationships all seem to come together to give you one big headache! The stress all seems to come in heaps so that you feel like there is nothing that you can do to solve these problems. Even though the world economy has suffered in the last 10 years, and we have all suffered along with it, there is one kind of business that has succeeded.

What is that amazing business? Media entertainment. History shows that when people suffer financially, they all love to escape worry and stress via movies and video. In the last few years, many talented people have become millionaires by simply posting Youtube videos! The point is this: Whatever we use to escape our God given responsibilities in this life is an idol. This is sin!

Our modern lives are hard and stressful; therefore we must run to Jesus when it gets stressful and beyond what we can handle. If the debts are high, and the demands of life are beyond your ability, then pray!!! Get on your knees and pray seriously! Ask the Lord for the escape, not Youtube or Face book! You should use Face book to share your burdens with your fellow believers so that they can pray for you and encourage you.
Meditate on verse 10. How are you going to apply this verse to your life?
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, give me the ability to resist temptations. Amen.
