Text: Ephesians 2:14-22.
“For he himself is our peace, who has made us both one and has broken down in his flesh the dividing wall of hostility by abolishing the
law of commandments expressed in ordinances, that he might create in himself one new man in place of the two, so making peace, and might
reconcile us both to God in one body through the cross, thereby killing the hostility,” (verses 14-16.) (ESV). The cross should be our focus
other than allowing trivial things like political persuasion, theological perspective and economic status, among others, to divide us. When
Jesus Christ died he removed the bitterness and resentment between Jews and the Gentiles by removing the Jewish laws that favoured the
Jews at the expense of the Gentiles.

Reflect on verses 14-16, what is God teaching you in these verses?
How are you going to apply them to your life?

My heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, thank You for Your Son Jesus Christ who died to kill any form of hostility. Kill in
me any form of hostility and resentment. Amen.
