ACP Update – Sunday 2nd May 2021
The ACP Team is grateful to God for His faithfulness for the Cathe- dral Building project. We continue to execute phase 3 through Transi- tion Works in small lots, despite the challenges affecting the construc– tion and financial sectors. The site remains under restricted access.
It is our prayer that by end of this year 2021, the pending interiors and Sanc- tuary building ex-teriors will be done to achieve the desired usable state of the new Cathedral. Furnishing and Equipment installations may be achieved at any time, as the Lord provides the resources. Brethren, the finishing line is near, do not despair. We encourage you to continue to: Pray, Partic- ipate, Provide and (mobilise) Partners for this great work as we honour God.

B. Technical Status
For the last 2 months, we have been concentrating on Remedial external works to solve storm water flooding in the basement and surroundings. We are currently doing the following:
– Reconstruction of a large storm drain, paving the drop off/ exit area and enlarging the rainwater disposal system from the roof. The remedial works will be completed by end of this month of May 2021.
– Installation of CCTV Security Cameras for external coverage including plots 4 and 6 of Lugard road is ongoing.
Next month of June 2021, we shall start Civil works and Mechanical Installations for the public Washrooms and Sewer drainage on lower ground. We will also finalize Bills of Quantities for the remaining com– pletion works to guide sourcing of quotations.
By the end of the year 2021, it is targeted that Closures (Windows and Doors); Floor finishes, some electrical and mechanical installations and
Main Access/exit gates on Lugard road boundary, will be done.
